Instructions
Once again the Montgomery Art Guild (MAG) is using a digital entry system called ArtCall for the MAG/Regions Bank show. Instructions for the call are as follows:
1. Please use the Firefox or Google Chrome browser
a. If you have not previously registered with ArtCall click on the “Register” button in the upper right-hand corner and fill in all of the requested information on the registration page.
b. To complete the registration all users must pay membership fees, which are annually due in August. Entering your payment information, click the “Create Account” button. (If you have recently paid membership fees this year you should have received a promo code via email. Use that code to make your payment.)
3. Login
a. If you used ArtCall for last year’s MAG/Regions Bank show you can login with your email address and the password generated for you last year.
b. Click on the “Login” button in the upper right-hand corner of the page and use your email address and password to access the site.
c. If you remember the email address but not the password, click on “Forgot Password?” and follow the prompts to reset your password.
d. Upon login you must pay membership fees, which are annually due in August. Check that your user profile information is correct and up-to-date. Enter your payment method and click on the “Update User Profile” button. (If you have recently paid membership fees this year you should have received a promo code via email. Use that code to make your payment. If you have any problems with the promo code please contact Alisa Koch, MAG Executive Secretary, at 334-301-8180.)
4. Purchase submission credits
a. Pay first, submit entries afterwards.
b. On the My Applications page click on the “Purchase Submission Credits”button.
c. Fill in the requested Payment Details information.
d. Select the number of entries you will make in the “Pay for How Many?” window.
e. Enter your payment method. Click on “Submit Payment Charge.”
5. Add New Applications
a. Each entry can be submitted via the “Add New Application+” button on the My Applications page. You must repeat this process for each entry.
b. After clicking on the “Add New Application+” button, choose a submission category. See the blue button for the category descriptions.
c. List the title of your entry (the application title). List the dimensions of the piece. Enter your selling price of the work and the year in which your piece was created.
d. Do you agree to submit the work to hang in the Montgomery City Hall Gallery if it is not selected for the MAG/Regions Bank show? Please type yes or no.
e. List the medium. Then click on the “Submit Entry Details.”
6. Add the photo attachment of your work
a. The photo of your entry must be between 960 pixels and 4600 pixels on its longest side (that is, it can be no smaller than 960 pixels on its longest side, and conversely no larger than 4600 pixels on that longest side).
b. The maximum file size for an image is 4 mb. The files must be saved in .jpg, .gif or .png format.
c. Click on the “Add Attachment” button. Browser your computer for the photo file. Select it and click “Open.”
d. Click “Complete & View Entry.”
7. There is no need for you to print tags
a. The Montgomery Art Guild will print tags for you and have them available when you turn in work that has been selected to be part of the exhibit.
8. To edit an entry
a. You may edit an entry up to the closing date of the call. See the My Applications page, click on the yellow “Edit” button to the right of the photo. If you wish to delete an entry DO NOT DELETE with the trash can icon - use the EDIT icon.
9. If you need help with submitting work via ArtCall
If you have any problems submitting work via the ArtCall portal call Alisa Koch (334-301-8180) or Warren Simons (646-483-9366) for assistance. NOTE: do not wait until the last day to attempt to submit work to ArtCall. If you wait until the last minute and you run into problems submitting entries via ArtCall, you may be waiting in a long line for help. Submit early!
